    A video guestbook for weddings

    VideoStory is a video guest book for weddings. Guests scan a QR code, answer the couple’s questions in a short recording, and the couple watches all the wishes in one place. We designed and built the mobile app, the web version and the product landing page.

    Challenge

    A wedding produces countless wishes and memories, but most of them disappear when the party ends.

    Guests want to leave the couple something personal, and the couple wants to keep the emotions of the day for years. A photo booth or a paper guest book can’t capture voice and movement, and collecting videos from many people’s phones after the wedding is chaos.

    We designed VideoStory so a guest can record wishes in a minute, straight from their phone after scanning a QR code or opening a link. The couple creates the guest book, picks questions for guests and gets all the recordings in one dashboard.

    From QR code to a video of wishes

    The flow is short on both sides: the couple sets up the guest book once, and guests record during the wedding.

      They enter the date and their names, then pick questions from ready-made categories or add their own.

      Guests get a QR code

      The code goes on invitations, menus or a board at the venue, or is shared as a link.

      A guest records an answer

      They pick a question, record a short video, preview it and send it, right from their phone.

    4. 04

      The couple watches the recordings

      All guest answers land in the couple’s dashboard, ready to watch and replay.

    After scanning the code, the guest immediately sees the couple’s guest book. Five screens stand between them and sent wishes.

    The wizard guides the couple step by step: how it works, names, questions from categories and their own, and the finished guest book.

    Recordings, questions and the QR code invitation in one place, with plans to choose from without leaving the app.

    Evening theme

    A dark version of the interface for guests and the couple: the same screens, easier on the eyes in a dimly lit venue.

    A landing page that shows the product

    The page takes the couple from what a video guest book is, through how the app works and the QR code graphics, to plan pricing and FAQ.

    Scope of work

    1. UX/UI

      Guest and couple flows, the guest book wizard, the recordings dashboard, light and dark themes, and the product landing page with pricing.

    2. Development

      A Flutter app for Android, iOS and the web, with a Laravel backend for recordings and guest books.

    3. Launch and publishing

      Publishing the app on Google Play and the App Store and launching the web version.
