3D scans and orders for orthopedic insoles
Ortheo is a web app for orthopedic clinics. It guides the specialist from patient examination, through 3D scanning and orthosis configuration, to ordering, fitting and follow-up visits. The client prepared the interface design; we were responsible for development.

Challenge
A personalized orthosis is built from many measurements, and every mistake in the order means rework in production.
The orthopedist has to take a history, assess limb alignment, perform a 3D scan and choose product parameters, separately for the left and right side. The client had a finished interface design that organized this process and needed a team to turn it into a working application.
We built it in Vue and Laravel: forms save data from the first field, the order changes status at each stage, and every clinic has its own patient list and appointment calendar.
From examination to follow-up visit
The order timeline takes the specialist through each stage and shows which documents are already complete.
- 01
Examination
Clinical interview, dynamic and static assessment, and 3D motion analysis.
- 02
Order
A 3D scan, limb alignment in the orthosis and product configuration with appearance and price.
- 03
Fitting
A fitting form and, if needed, a rejection with a description of the reason.
- 04
Follow-up and evaluation
A follow-up visit in the calendar and an outcome evaluation survey.
The clinical process, step by step
The key modules of the app that we translated from the client’s design into code.
Patients and orders
The patient profile brings together their details and all their orders with statuses. Each order has a timeline: examination, order, fitting, follow-up and evaluation, with a date and a document to complete at every stage.
Patient examination
The examination panel is split into interview, dynamic assessment, static assessment and 3D motion analysis. In the static assessment, the specialist selects knee alignment in the sagittal and frontal planes from illustrations and enters the measured values, separately for each side.
3D scan and order
When ordering, the specialist selects a scanner, uploads scan files for the left and right side, enters the angles measured during scanning and confirms compliance with the guidelines. The summary shows the product configuration, appearance and price before the order is placed.
Appointment calendar
The clinic calendar shows scheduled examinations next to order numbers, broken down by assessment type. A follow-up visit can be scheduled directly from the order timeline.
Scope of work
Frontend development
A Vue application built from the interface design provided by the client.
Backend development
A Laravel backend: patients, clinics, orders with statuses, examination forms and handling of 3D scan files.
Launch and development
Launching the application and developing it further based on the client’s requests.
