    Problem reporting from employees’ phones

SherlockWaste is a web and mobile app in which employees report problems and improvement ideas, and managers see them through to a solution. We designed the interface and built both versions: mobile in Flutter and web in Laravel, Vue and GraphQL.

    Challenge

The best improvement ideas come from people who work on the process every day, but they rarely have anywhere to report them.

Companies needed one place where teams report problems, share ideas and work with managers to solve them. Reporting had to take a moment, including from a phone, without sitting down at a computer.

So we designed two consistent sides of the product: a mobile app for employees on Android and iOS, and a web dashboard in which managers handle reports, set scoring rules and reward engagement.

    From report to improvement

Every problem follows the same clear path, visible to both the reporter and the person responsible.

    1. 01

      An employee reports

They describe the problem, add a photo, category and tags, and choose who receives the report and who can see it.

    2. 02

      The team adds ideas

Others can confirm they have the same issue and add a solution idea and a comment.

    3. 03

      A manager takes it forward

They move the status from reported to implemented and assign an owner and tasks.

    4. 04

      Points and leaderboard

Employees earn points for reports and ideas and climb the leaderboard, and the company rewards the best.

    Reporting from your phone

The form fits on one screen: description, photo, category, tags, visibility and the people who will receive the problem.

    Reports, leaderboard and notifications

Employees track the status of their reports, get notified about ideas and points, and see their place on the leaderboard.

    Dashboard for managers

In the web version, managers handle reports, tasks and management meetings, set scoring rules and reward team engagement.

    01

    Managing reports

All problems in one table with search, sorting and quick filters: mine only, awaiting response, team reports or overdue. The problem card takes it through successive statuses, from reported to implemented, and its tabs collect attachments, business impact, ideas, comments and activity history. The administrator decides which report visibility options each role has.

    02

    Points and leaderboards

Leaderboards show who reported the most problems, whose ideas got the most likes and who solves problems most often. The company decides how many points each event is worth and whether it applies to team leaders, employees or both.

    03

    Tasks

Reports turn into concrete tasks with a requester, an owner, a deadline and a priority. The list has search, filters and sorting, and task details open in a side panel, where the team changes the status, adds attachments and comments, tagging colleagues. The activity history shows every change.

    04

    Board meetings

Management meetings run live in the app. On the meeting board, the team arranges KPI cards with trends and charts, tracks progress toward targets for each metric, checks attendance and reviews tasks and reported problems.

    Scope of work
